PABLO MIRÓ CORTEZ
Bio
Pablo Miró Cortez, born in Karlsruhe, Germany, has garnered acclaim as an exceptional pianist on prestigious stages across Chile, the United States, France, Germany, Brazil, Canada, Poland, and Mexico.
His artistic formation has been profoundly shaped by the mentorship of eminent musicians, including Elisabeth Leonskaja (Russia–Austria), George Moradian (Armenia), Halina Czerny-Stefańska (Poland), Stefan Wojtas (Poland), Dominique Merlet (France), Miguel Proença (Brazil), Edith Orloff (United States), Paul Stewart (Canada), and Jean-Eudes Vaillancourt (Canada).
A passionate advocate for both the classical and contemporary repertoire, he has been a frequent guest at distinguished festivals such as the European Chamber Music Festival (Poland), the Chopin Festival in the Colours of Autumn (Poland), the Musical Weeks of Frutillar (Chile), the International Forum of New Music Manuel Enríquez (Mexico), and the Vértice Festival at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). His concert activity has also extended to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Hungary, Switzerland, France, Canada, and Mexico.
In May 2015, he earned a Doctorate in Music, specialising in piano performance with a focus on the piano works of Max Reger, at the University of Montreal (Canada).
Currently, he holds a professorship in Piano and Chamber Music at the Higher School of Music (Escuela Superior de Música) of the National Centre for the Arts (Centro Nacional de las Artes, INBAL) and at the School of Music "Life and Movement" (Escuela de Música Vida y Movimiento) of the Ollin Yoliztli Cultural Centre (Centro Cultural Ollin Yoliztli) in Mexico City. Alongside his academic role, he continues an active career as a soloist and chamber musician.
